A visit to Japan

5/06/2013

Let’s start the new week in Japan with this unique home. I love the mix of concrete and wood.

found via lovely blog Harmony photos by Suppose

You’ve got to love this beautiful shade of green next to the concrete.
It looks like a great place to either work or sit and enjoy a coffee.

I’m excited to be blog of the month on We heart home! Thank you so much to Holly and Trisha. Pop over to  We heart home to read the interview.

Here the sun is shining and we’re going to have lunch outside. Should I mention that we had breakfast outside too? I could get used to this weather.

Happy New Week!

I have never seen anything quite like that home. Very interesting. I'd love to visit, but I don't think I'd want to stay there. 🙂

I bet it's a really nice contrast to the homes around it though, judging by the views out the windows.

  2. Congrats to be the blog of the month! I saw your interview! Me too, I do not like carpets at all! 😀

Keeo the hard work. Also, I love concrete, I will pin those ! I could live there just by adding more rugs, textiles and plants <3

Oh, I just love the big outdoor room. Imagine sitting under a tree when the weather is terrible outside? Amazing! Love the house too, but am not a minimalist. But love the concrete…the concept…

    Simple, quiet, clean. Gorgeous!

  5. Lovely how the wood warms the concrete. It is so minimalist but not at all cold or without atmosphere. Maybe some personal items would make it complete?

Congrats for 'blog of the week', I'm popping over to read the interview illico presto.
    Bye

Gorgeous mixture, especially with the tree inside!
